Mergers & Acquisitions
What is M&A?
M&A can allow enterprises to grow, shrink, change the nature of their business, and ultimately strengthen their competitive position.
M&A is an area of strategic management that is key for any enterprise to navigate carefully, especially in the automotive industry. As you work to take advantage of technological innovations and the future of your market, it’s important to keep an eye on potential areas of major growth and change.
Strategically, my goal with mergers & acquisitions is to help you create shareholder value that far exceeds that of the sum of two companies, both of which are more valuable together than apart. This type of approach aims
to foster synergies in the long run by increasing market share, customer base, and the corporate strength of your business.
This process is a complex and challenging one, but it’s something I’m passionate about doing well. Every phase of an M&A project must be expertly planned and managed. A chief strategist like me should avail themselves to you from the initial stages of target acquisition to the final phase of integration.
What I Do
- Complete market analysis and target identification
- Perform due diligence, analyze performance, and understand key industry trends related to potential targets
- Evaluate strategic and/or financial partnerships in existing or adjacent markets
- Develop and program manage “First 100 Day” integration plans
In the Past
I have been involved in M&A activities at Excel Industries, Jason, PPG and at Magna. I have led the development of end-to-end M&A strategy (target identification/qualification, due diligence, deal structure, negotiations, post-deal integration) for large acquisitions. These projects provided access to new technology, diversified the customer base, improved our regional presence, and helped to accelerate industry consolidation.
